Magasin General Bruxe
Twin brothers, we grew up in Belgium. Our home was above our mother’s store and our stepmother had three boutiques on that same street. It was quite a street! Bibine sold her cheese out of a tiny store on the bottom floor of her house in this small town where we lived. She knew everybody by name and she talked to everybody. One street away, Mario Alonzi started making and selling ice cream out of his living room on Sunday afternoons. Buying cheese and ice cream became quite magical, a kind of family ritual.
Years later, we landed in NDG and found skateboarding and Footloose, Montreal’s first skateboard shop. It was love at first site. Mom thought it would pass… but it never did. Skateboading led to snowboarding and then to design and travel. We designed for skate, for snow, for street, for travel… our interests kept growing and we started our own brand, Bruxe.
Bruxe needed its own store. We had an eye on this NDG location for a very long time. We found a barn in the countryside and moved it here, piece by piece. We believe that design, fashion, books, jewellery, footwear and art should be displayed together and bought together.
We love classic design and timeless fashion. We love art and we love accessories, especially together. We love chairs and we really love shoes. We love what the D.I.Y. mentality is capable of. We love companies who do it their own way.

Tiny Little Chairs
A love letter to iconic mid-century design, Tiny Little Chairs is a series of collectable
pendants representing vintage chairs from the golden era of design. Each miniatures
pendant is handmade in Montreal and available in gold, silver and vintage bronze.
